| Eco-Trek: BRT to Chenni halla |
 |
Operated by: The Eco - Development Committee reporting to Chamarajanagar Wildlife Division, Karnataka Forest Department
Trek-in-brief: Of all the eco-trek paths that we have lined up for now, this trek is by far the easiest. This is designed as an introduction to feel the joys of trekking. This was a path used by pilgrims to go to the Biligiri Rangaswamy Temple. As you start from BRT you are on a footpath towards a village called Devarahalli. You are now on the way to observe some of the best and the most important medicinal plants to be found anywhere in the world. As you near Chenni halla the destination, you can see more than 25 graves that belong to the megalithic age. Observing these ruins (whatever that has survived greedy tomb raiders) will give a sense of wonder about the human race in general. These ruins like the pyramids of Egypt will evoke the mysterious aspects of existence. Needless to say, a dash of history is in store for you.
Difficulty level: Easy
